I have always been a great fan of these two particular political satirists; John Clarke and Brian Dawe. They conduct ‘interviews’ of famous politicians without any form of ‘getting into character’. But I never fail to admire their incredible perceptions on just what politicians are really like.
It is uniquely Australian, but the above clip would speak to any nationality, and all I ask is that you slot in your local politician as the politician being interviewed here. The result will be just as hilariously the same.
This particular clip is one they did when Dr. Brendan Nelson was Minister of Defence for the then Howard government. He had no clue then, and he now leads his party as Opposition leader in the wake of the Rudd government’s electoral defeat of John Howard in November last year. Heaven help that party.
